###USER_anrede_en### ###USER_first_name### ###USER_last_name###, 2019 will be dedicated to explosion protection and prevention of danger zones in laboratories. In the upcoming month we will introduce to you in our new series how to significantly reduce the risk of fire and explosion in laboratories while you at the same time increase the protection of your staff. In part I we are showing you how to create a safe and health work environment with our ventilated working places. Our efficient exhaust air units prevent harmful substances from entering the respiratory tract. On principle, we distinguish by two solutions: rear exhaust units that can be mounted on an exhisting working place and integrated working surfaces with down-draft system. Rear exhaust units for existing working places: Our rear exhaust units enable to significantly reduce formalin and alcohol concentration in the air and subsequently prevent the risk of explosion caused by alcohol vapors in the lab atmosphere. The exhaust units are equipped with dual slotted plates to guarantee perfect removal of unsanitary vapors while in operation. » click here to view all of our rear exhaust units. Integrated working surfaces with down-draft system: This kind of special working table guarantees a laboratory environment free of pollutants while slicing and preparing histological tissue samples. Harmful vapors are vacuumed downwards at source throughout the entire perforated working are and hence cannot enter the respiratory tract. MAC (Maximum allowable concentration) values are below target. Additionally, this kind of work place prevents the formation of explosive vapor mixtures due to the usage of solvents like alcohol, Xylol and others. The perforated working surface can be integrated into an existing laboratory table and is available in different dimensions. » click here to view our perforated working surfaces. In Part II we will present you our supply and disposal stations for alcohol, formalin and xylol. Depending on customer requirements, our scope of delivery ranges from individual formalin faucets that can be mounted on an existing KUGEL medical working place through fully automated supply and disposal stations.
