For decades, formaldehyde or rather formalin has been used for tissue sample fixation in pathology. Especially during filling and opening formalin filled sample vessels, pathologists and lab staff is exposed to its harmful vapors. With the Formamix 2.0 for contact-free formalin dilution we developed its predecessor further and created a solution that manages to reduce formalin contamination in pathological laboratories to an absolute minimum. The Formamix 2.0 is now part of our eco-friendly ECOline The new touch display makes using the Formamix 2.0 even easier. The remaining liquid quantity and formalin concentration are permanently displayed on the touch display. Just enter the desired formalin concentration and quantity. The micro processor enables you to safe and recall your settings for later use. Additionally, for automatic sample vessel filling, you can set and dispense through the food pedal the necessary formalin quantity exactly to the milliliter – without dripping or leaking! The new Formamix 2.0 comes with an eco-friendly activated carbon filter cartridge. All harmful vapors are vacuumed and filtered through the filter cartridge. Optionally, you can also connect it to a site-mounted ventilation system instead.
